Netflix‘s upcoming workplace comedy Blockbuster is adding several stars to its growing cast that already includes Randall Park and Melissa Fumero.

Tyler Alvarez, Madeleine Arthur, Olga Merediz, J.B. Smoove, and Kamaia Fairburn are joining Park’s Timmy and Fumero’s Eliza in the series set in the last Blockbuster Video in America. Blockbuster explores what it takes and who it takes to make a small business to survive against the odds.

Alvarez (Never Have I Ever) steps in as Carlos, the first-generation son of immigrants who learned to speak English by watching movies. Through that experience, movies quickly became his love language as he dreams of becoming a filmmaker. Carlos is torn between leading the American life his parents planned for him and pursuing his passion.

Meanwhile, Arthur (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) plays Hannah, a sweet, naive, and charming young woman. Despite losing her mother at a young age, Hannah is surrounded and supported by her Blockbuster family. Together, the crew at Blockbuster does their best to help Hannah learn about the importance of self-care.

As for Merediz (In the Heights), she’ll play Connie, a woman who works to make friends, not money. She’s the mother figure to not only the staff but Blockbuster’s regular customers. Smoove and Fairburn will serve as recurring guest stars in the series.

Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Smoove plays Percy, the owner of the strip mall and party store, Percy is a fast-talking, stylish, and over-confident man who makes up one half of the Timmy-Percy best friend duo. Along with being drawn to visiting his best friend, Percy drops into Blockbuster to see his daughter Kayla (Fairburn) who also works there.

Kayla’s Percy’s smart and sometimes scary teen daughter who doesn’t like taking orders from anyone, making things complicated for Timmy. Together, this cast will bring some laughs to Netflix over the course of a 10-episode first season. Stay tuned for updates on the project as Blockbuster takes shape at Netflix.
