Nailed It! Halloween will not be filming the remainder of its seventh season as production shut down on Wednesday after crew members walked off the set.

As reported by Deadline, the shutdown comes just a day after the crew went on strike to secure a contract with The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). The union hoped to reach a deal with the Nailed It! producers Magical Elves; however, instead, the production company and Netflix decided to cease filming.

Four episodes of the eight-episode season had been filmed, and production was underway on the show’s fifth episode when the walkout happened. The rest of the season will not be filmed, as the crew was informed by Magical Elves on Tuesday afternoon that production had wrapped and members should collect their gear.

“I know for sure that it’s shut down,” a union source told Deadline. “They’d rather shut down than sign a union contract. They’re notoriously nonunion.”

Neither Netflix nor Magical Elves have commented on the situation, but Deadline reports that the finished four episodes of Nailed It! Halloween! will run on the streamer this coming fall.

Nailed It! it is a baking competition show hosted by Nicole Byer, where three amateur bakers compete to replicate complicated cakes and confectionery in hopes of winning a $10,000 cash prize. It premiered in March 2018 and has aired six regular seasons, as well as two holiday-themed editions.

The series has been nominated for three Emmy Awards, including twice for Outstanding Competition Program and once for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.
