‘TV Guide Magazine’ Cover Party for ‘Shooter’s Ryan Phillippe

His new USA series may be serious drama but Shooter star Ryan Phillippe (pictured above with co-star Shantel VanSanten) was all smiles at the TV Guide Magazine cover party at Riviera 31 at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.

Celebrating the November 15 premiere of the series, which is based on the best selling Bob Lee Swagger book and the 2007 film starring Mark Wahlberg (who is an executive producer on the series), Phillippe said of Shooter, “We’re very different from anything that’s on TV right now in terms of that action component and the veteran angle, which is very, very important to me so we want to try to bring in as much of that audience as we can, as well.”

Besides Phillippe and VanSanten, co-stars Omar Epps, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Eddie McClintock attended at the event along with executive producer John Hlavin. The evening’s sponsors were Tito’s Vodka, Peroni, Banfi Wines and Indian Motorcycle. This week’s issue of TV Guide Magazine is on newsstands now.
