Bones is diving back into the quest to clear Zack’s (Eric Millegan) name in this week’s episode…but the journey won’t be entirely smooth.

“We’re dealing with Zack in a couple of different episodes as far as clearing him,” Bones executive producer Michael Peterson says. “But it’s a difficult process. It’s a ten year old case and Zack pled guilty.”

“It was such [an] opportunity, because we knew we had to clear him, but we had to figure out the right path: what will work for Brennan and what will work for Hodgins,” he continues. “Hodgins—he isn’t always working in evidence. And Brennan always makes sure the evidence supports what they find. It’s a very interesting episode; all things are not resolved. It’s a step almost backwards for freeing Zack.”

But as Hodgins (TJ Thyne) tries to clear Zack, the team will have its attention focused on the case of the week: a dismembered body brings Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) into the world of competitive lumberjacking.

And, in the exclusive clip below, Booth and Brennan have other issues at home—they try and figure out the best way to teach Christine (Sunnie Pelant) to ride a bike.
