‘Elsbeth’: Erika Woods Joins as Teddy’s Soon-to-Be Mother-in-Law

Wedding bells are ringing, and that’s bringing two families together in Elsbeth Season 4. Power Book III: Raising Kanan star Erika Woods joins the cast of Season 4 as Teddy Tascioni’s (Ben Levi Ross) soon-to-be mother-in-law, TV Insider has learned. She makes her debut in Episode 4, which will introduce Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) to her son-in-law’s family.

Woods plays Yvette Stratton, Teddy’s charming, soon-to-be mother-in-law, who is eager to welcome the Tascionis into her family. Teddy and Roy (Hayward Leach) got engaged in the Elsbeth Season 3 finale, and their wedding planning is a major part of Season 4. Damian Young plays Glenn Stratton, Roy’s father. They’re seen in the photo above with Christine Ebersole, who debuts as Elsbeth’s mother, Lydia, in Elsbeth Season 4 Episode 3 on October 22.

Elsbeth is continuing the fun trend of couples working together on the series with Woods’ casting. Woods and Elsbeth star Wendell Pierce have been partners since 2013. Preston’s husband, Michael Emerson, guest starred in Elsbeth Season 2 as the villainous Judge Crawford.

Our Flag Means Death‘s Nat Faxon also guest stars in Episode 4 as Perry Macintyre (below, with Preston’s Elsbeth), the least popular member at the Nickerson Country Club who makes a miraculous hole-in-one that leads to murder.
