‘Tracker’ Kicks Off Season 4 With Colter’s Case Leading to a Dangerous Criminal Operation

Tracker Season 3 may have ended with a shocking revelation — but no details about it — regarding rewardist Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), but it’s going to be back to business as usual when the series returns on Sunday, October 4.

CBS has released the official description and first photo for the Season 4 premiere, titled “Safe Harbor,” and it’s a regular case for him to work, tracking down a missing person. In it, the network teases, “Colter’s search for a teenage boy’s missing father leads him to a dangerous criminal operation at the Port of Los Angeles.” The photo offers a look at Colter back at work.

At the end of Season 3, Colter teamed up with his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles, returning this season) to look for answers regarding what their father was up to before his death. It led to government experiments, and it sounds like Colter was part of one of them.

McIntyre (Glenn Morshower), part of the program they uncovered, gave Russell a file on their father. Though Russell didn’t want to believe was he was reading at first, McIntyre told him, What’s in that file, what he did to Colter, it’s all true. Now I’m guessing you wouldn’t want him to see this and he doesn’t have to, so think very carefully. Now I have a problem that needs fixing. Do it and I will put you in the clear.”

Russell accepted, but didn’t tell Colter what he was doing. So, Colter, instead, ended the season at his house (yes, he has a house on a nice piece of land), fixing up his father’s car with the help of Keaton (Brent Sexton).
