Tom Hiddleston, Audra McDonald & More TV Stars Nominated for 2020 Tonys

The nominees for the 74th Annual Tony Awards have been unveiled and include no shortage of recognizable faces from TV as well as film, including Audra McDonald, Mary-Louise Parker and Tom Hiddleston.

The ceremony itself, which has yet to announce an air date, will be presented virtually, another awards show first due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Broadway has been hit especially hard by the virus, with all shows now suspended through May 2021, according to the Broadway League.

“Our Broadway community has been incredibly resilient during this difficult time, and we look forward to paying tribute to the performers and artists,” Tony Award-winner James Monroe Iglehart, who announced the nominees in a livestream on Thursday, October 15, said in a statement put out by the American Theatre Wing, which presents the Tony Awards with the Broadway League.
