La Bonne Nuit
Apart from being a teenager and owning her own business, the fact that Veronica (Camila Mendes) opened a "speakeasy" is still hard to wrap our heads around. And as if that wasn't enough, the amount of illegal activities that have occurred there has our heads spinning.
The CW
Jason's Body
Just when we thought the show would let sleeping dogs lie, they brought back Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines) in the form of his disturbing corpse. Cheryl's (Madelaine Petsch) earnest conversations with her dead twin's body is another level of crazy.
The CW
Edgar's Rocket
Undoubtedly the weirdest thing so far, Farm cult leader Edgar Evernever (Chad Michael Murray) attempted to escape authorities by escaping on a self-built rocket. But before you begin to think that's wild, just know he did so while wearing an Evel Knievel-like costume customized with his own name.
The CW
Framed for Murder
In the Season 2 finale, Archie (KJ Apa) was framed for murder by Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), and while it introduced a strong shock-factor to the episode, there's a lack of realness to the situation. Have you ever known any high schoolers who were accused of murder recently?
The CW
Betty Defuses the Situation
In Season 4, while Betty's (Lili Reinhart) spending time with her brother Charles (Wyatt Nash) at the FBI's Riverdale work space, Polly (Tiera Skovbye) arrives with a bomb strapped to her chest. Instead of evacuating the room or protecting his sister, Charles talked the high schooler through defusing the device.
The CW
Bear Attack
While avoiding authorities after his prison break in Season 3, Archie's living a secluded life in a Canadian cabin, where he crosses paths with a bear. After being attacked though, he somehow manages to reach his cabin, send a message for help and bandage his wounds before passing out on his bed...

Drugged Kids
While being held at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, Betty discovers that the nuns who run the home for children were allowing Hiram Lodge to test drugs on the occupants. So, drugging children... need we say more?

Prison Break
It's important to remember that these characters are in high school when remembering that they also managed to break Archie out of a prison which also ran an underground fight club. The weirdest part of it all? No one was caught or punished for aiding in the unplanned release of Archie.
The CW
Penelope's Brothel
Riverdale really does have it all — underground gambling, teen-owned boxing rings and even a brothel. Penelope Blossom's (Nathalie Boltt) interesting business venture is certainly on the spectrum of stranger things going on in the sleepy town.

Killer Hunt
In the finale for Season 3, Betty, Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Veronica and Archie participate in a midnight scavenger hunt orchestrated by serial killers. What isn't strange about that?
The CW
FP's Range
When viewers first met FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich) he was a deadbeat drunk who could barely care for his own son, let alone others beyond him, so when he was named Sheriff of Riverdale, it was even more shocking that he'd be tasked with caring for the whole town. He may have redeemed himself over the seasons, but the position in law enforcement seems like a stretch for the former leader of the Serpents.

Archie's Pastimes
In Season 1, Archie was a well-rounded All-American teen who played football and liked to jam on the guitar as well as sing. Where did he go? For someone who was really into music, we haven't seen Archie go near his guitar for quite some time, which makes us wonder if the character trait should have been introduced at all.
The CW
Hal's Black Hood Ways
Betty's father proved to be one of the crazier parts of
Riverdale as he continued his murderous plight as the Black Hood. One head-scratcher, though, was the faking of his own death by leaving his severed hand at the sight of a crash.

Love Without Limits
Sure, teen sex isn't a new concept, but the idea that all of this canoodling is going on underneath their parents' roofs undetected seems fairly unbelievable. And this assessment can be applied in most cases throughout the years.
The CW
Archie's Tryst with Ms. Grundy
In the first season of the series, one of the first storylines involving Archie is a summer fling with his high school teacher Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel), need we say more? It's not a plot that's altogether foreign in pop culture, but considering the Archie we've come to know, it's difficult to understand why he got involved with Ms. Grundy and why it's barely been addressed.
The CW's Riverdale has seen its fair share of craziness over the course of its four seasons, but somehow manages to one-up itself with each passing year.
Currently airing its fourth season, the teen drama has gone one step further into solidifying Riverdale's reputation as a wild show, from self-made rockets and defusing bombs to playing games with killers.
Hermione behind bars! #Falice! Skeet Ulrich, Madchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Mark Consuelos, and Molly Ringwald spill all.
