Try to give The Real Housewives of Dallas another chance. Every season, I think ‘this one looks fun’ and then I forget about it or confuse the entire bunch of ’em with the Southern Charm fools.
The Real Housewives of Dallas are back, ya’ll! Season 2 of RHOD—which Bravo promises will be dramatic and wild—kicks off Monday, August 14 at 10/9c.
Joining the cast are two wealthy, Dallas socialites, D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott. D’Andra lives in the exclusive Highland Park section of Dallas with her husband and his 20-year-old son. Kameron is a Dallas transplant from Montecito, California, who married into high society. She has a Yorkie named Louis Vuitton, and is described by fellow housewife Cary Deuberas a “real-life Elle Woods.” ‘Nuff said. These new housewives will mix it up with returning ‘wives Deuber, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne “Bow at Me” Locken and Brandi Redmond.
“As the ladies navigate through the high-pressured world of big Texas money and power, new and old friendships are put to the test, leading to shifting alliances, unexpected betrayals and shocking scandals,” Bravo said in a statement about the new season of Real Housewives of Dallas.
So where are our RHOD ladies when the series returns? Brandi and Stephanie, once BFFs, are not on speaking terms; LeeAnne is working on her anger issues and trying to get back into the good graces of the other housewives; Cary is still working for her husband’s medical practice while trying to find the perfect work-life balance; and D’Andra and Kameron quickly find themselves in the thick of all of the drama. Sounds like everything is just how we like it: unstable.
