The second season of Jury Duty, titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, is now in full swing and is already proving that the formula works, even outside of the courtroom situation.

After the success of the docu-style comedy’s first season, with Ronald Gladden becoming the unwitting “hero” of the hidden camera series, the Prime Video series raised the stakes and took a new subject, Anthony Norman, on a company retreat. Like the first season, everyone involved is an actor except for Norman, and all of the scenarios were carefully orchestrated and scripted to evoke the wholesome and hilarious reactions of the “hero.”

So now that we know the Jury Duty gag wasn’t just a lightning-in-a-bottle one-off, could the series come back for a third season? Here’s what we know so far.

Is Jury Duty renewed for Season 3?

Not yet. But stay tuned for updates!

What will Jury Duty Season 3 be about?

The first season of Jury Duty took place during — you guessed it — jury duty, as Ronald Gladden volunteered to participate in what he thought was a documentary about the experience of jury duty. The second season follows Anthony Norman as he takes on a temp job at a small, family-owned company called Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce as the staff embarks on a retreat amid a major change in leadership. So a third season, presumably, would also feature a “hero” being thrust into a situation where the rest of the participants are all actors, unbeknownst to them, and they are sequestered together with the guise that a documentary is being filmed — though they don’t quite know the scale of it.

Season 2 star Wendy Braun told TV Insider that the cast of Company Retreat has been cooking up their own ideas for a third season. “We were talking about on a cruise ship… Every year gets sort of a bigger scale. Jury Duty was amazing. It set a precedent, and I don’t even know if they knew what it would be, and then it became this giant hit. And now this year, it’s just on such a bigger scale. There’s so much more space to cover. It’s not in one room, it’s a whole campus, and so you’re gonna have to go bigger,” she said.

For now, though, we’ll just have to wait for further announcements to see if and how a third season of Jury Duty comes through.
