‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Photos Show Return of OG Character
Production is now well underway on Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and we’ve got the photos to prove it. Thanks to the Dexter spinoff being located in New York City, a lot of the action is taking place right out in the open, where photographers can take snaps that give fans clues about what’s coming up.
The latest? Michael C. Hall‘s title killer was spotted at a table with Desmond Harrington‘s Quinn, and it looks like the Miami officer will have some questions for his former colleague — both about his own apparent death and resurrection and the disappearance of their mutual, Angela Batista (David Zayas).
Previously, Krysten Ritter was spotted on set for two recent outdoor scenes. Ever since Ritter’s return was announced, we’ve been theorizing about what might bring her back from the beyond, and it looks like these photos give us a very strong hint that one theory is correct. The images seemingly confirm that she’s returning to Season 2 as the ghost version of herself in Dexter’s imagination. Why? Well, in both, she appears alongside James Remar‘s Harry Morgan, who is a figment of Dexter’s imagination that serves as a voice of conscience for him to follow “The Code.” Chances are, given what we learned about Lady Vengeance in Season 1, before her untimely death, Ritter’s return means she’ll be working as the bad angel-type on Dexter’s proverbial shoulder in Season 2.
Also spotted on set recently was Uma Thurman as Charley, and it looks like she might be the newest romantic connection for him in the second chapter of this story. Hall was also seen on set tussling with Chris Jericho, with Dexter injecting Jericho with anaesthetic and then dragging him away into an alley… and we all know what that means.
Additionally, several other series newcomers have been spotted filming scenes outdoors in the Big Apple, including Brian Cox as Don Framt a.k.a. the New York Ripper being approached by Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa‘s Dets. Claudette Wallace and Melvin Oliva. We’ve also seen Dan Stevens as Owen Stark a.k.a. the Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as Capt. Mixon, and Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona.
Also seen on set is the series’ other biggest returnee: Jack Alcott as Harrison in a police uniform.
