Where Does Celeste Go Moving Forward?
Speaking of Celeste, her abusive husband was not only just killed, but she’s a party to his murder. Now that she’s a single mom reeling from a traumatic series of events, there will be a lot for her to sort out. How will she keep her composure, especially with a dubious mother-in-law in town?
How Will the Relationships Between the Women Change?

Last season, we saw Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) cheating on her husband Ed (Adam Scott) with a theater director. Usually put together, the character unexpectedly cut loose by starting this affair. But is there an actual future with this other man, or will she work it out with her very likable and loyal husband?
Is There a New Man in Jane’s Life?
“You’re one of the Monterey Five, right?” says a handsome, curly-haired surfer guy in the trailer to Jane (Shailene Woodley) before giving her a flirtatious look. Is he a new love interest? After all Jane has been through, including coping with the trauma of her rape, does she have room in her life to start a romantic relationship?

At the end of last season, we learned that Jane’s son Ziggy was conceived after Perry raped her. Will Jane and Celeste choose to raise their three boys together as brothers? Will we see how the kids are handling Perry’s death?
When and How Will the Murder be Exposed?
We’ve been calling it murder, but clearly, what occurred looked like self-defense. Perry was violently attacking Celeste when Bonnie shoved him to his death, so why keep this a secret at all? Lying about it only makes it worse, bringing more trouble into their lives than necessary. The question isn’t if the truth will come out, but rather, how? And what will be the consequences?
The complicated and captivating ladies of Monterey are back.
The last we saw our main characters on the star-studded HBO series, they found solidarity and comfort in each other after the accidental murder they all took part in. We thought that would be the end of it.
But now that the series has returned and the show is past the book it was based on, Big Little Lies will continue the story on its own terms, unfurling more secrets, drama and deep-seated trauma.
