‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Trailer: See Aang Master the Elements in Live-Action

The official trailer for Netflix‘s Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series has arrived, delivering a sneak peek of what’s to come with Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), Sokka (Ian Ousley), Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu), Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), and more in the highly anticipated series. A few additional images to go with the ones released at the end of 2023 debuted alongside the trailer.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action re-imagining of the beloved animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.

Rounding out Netflix’s ATLA cast are Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula, Ken Leung as Zhao, and Maria Zhang as Suki.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 1 consists of eight episodes, with Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) serving as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Alongside Kim are Rideback’s Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore as executive producers, as well as Michael Goi and Jabbar Raisani. Goi, Roseanne Liang (also a co-executive producer), Jabbar Raisani, and Jet Wilkinson direct the series.

Michael Goi will direct the first two episodes, followed by Jabbar Raisani for the next two, Roseanne Liang for Episodes 5 and 6, and Jet Wilkinson for the final two episodes.

The writing team for Avatar: The Last Airbender includes Albert Kim and, Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko for Teleplay in episode 101. Joshua Hale Fialkov penned episode 102, while Christine Boylan, Keely MacDonald, and Gabriel Llanas contributed to episodes 103, 104, and 105, respectively. For episode 106, the teleplay is by Emily Kim & Hunter Ries, and Bryan Konietzko, with the story by Ubah Mohamed and Bryan Konietzko & Michael Dante DiMartino. Audrey Wong Kennedy wrote episode 107, and Albert Kim is credited for episode 108.
