Start spreading the news: New Girl is heading to New York!

It was announced today during Fox’s portion of the Television Critics Association summer press tour that the Zooey Deschanel-led comedy and Andy Samberg’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine will meet up in the Big Apple for a “crossover event” scheduled for Tuesday, October 11.

Should this bring in big numbers for the network, we’re willing to start the campaign for a Lucifer–The Exorcist crossover.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine kicks off its fourth season on September 20 at 8/7c, followed by the sixth-season premiere of New Girl at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.

This sounds like last years Bones Sleepy crossover in that both shows are way different. Interested to see how it works but like said crossover it wont bump either one of them up for more than one episode

At least this one makes more sense than Bones and Sleepy Hollow.

Definitely and for both shows sake I hope it does help for longer but I doubt it
