TV Land announced today that Heathers, the 1988 cult classic movie that became an off-Broadway musical, is being modernized for an anthology series.

Even though this means no charming ’80s fashion or slang, the Winona Ryder and Christian Slater movie still remains one of the most quotable films to this day (even if I can’t use some of the better quotes here).

Heathers was one of the darkest of dark comedies, tackling everything—from teen suicide to a school bombing—with pitch-black humor and insight.
