Jane Fonda Reveals the Truth About Her ‘Barbarella’ Striptease on ‘GMA Day’ (VIDEO)

Exclusive
Jane Fonda’s career has spanned decades and the actress/activist is nothing short of iconic.
While appearing on GMA’s new third hour, GMA Day, to promote her new HBO documentary, Jane Fonda in Five Acts, she chatted with co-hosts Michael Strahan and Sara Haines about filming 1968 fantasy/action movie Barbarella, and the truth behind that famous striptease scene.
Fonda admitted that, in order to perform the dance and take off her clothes, she needed a little liquid courage. “I was so nervous about doing this striptease where I end up naked that I drank a lot of vodka,” she joked. “I was drunk out of my mind and kind of moving to the song.”
But then, a setback in production caused her to have to film the whole thing all over again! Unfortunately, this time around, Fonda has “a major hangover.”
