Sarah Paulson’s Mysterious ‘AHS: Apocalypse’ Character Revealed (VIDEO)
It looks like Sarah Paulson holds the fate of the world in her gambling hands in the newest American Horror Story: Apocalypse teaser.
Paulson, a regular in the Ryan Murphy FX anthology series, will reprise her roles as both Murder House‘s Billie and Coven‘s Cordelia for the crossover season. But the actress will also take on a new role: A character called Venable, who is front-and-center in the show’s latest Season 8 clip.
In the ominous 28-second video, Paulson, clad in a black fashion-forward outfit, advances towards a table holding a golden raffle drum. Her fingerless, black leather gloved hand reaches out to spin the drum with the handle.
“Now is your chance,” she begins flatly, “to be one of the few remaining. This is your chance to survive. We’ll find you soon,” she concludes in a dead-eyed delivery.

Needless to say, Venable is a far cry from the other characters Paulson’s played. That said, it isn’t the first time the actress has taken on more than one part in a season. The actress first played multiple roles in AHS: Freak Show, and has appeared in a multiple character capacity for every season since.
The teaser shares a website link to thebeginningisnear.tv in which fans can sign up for a chance to attend an exclusive American Horror Story: Apocalypse event.
Paulson will be joined by fellow cast members Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Billy Eichner, Joan Collins, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cheyenne Jackson, Jeffrey Browyer-Chapman, Cody Fern, Billy Porter, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, and Stevie Nicks.
