The Horror of ‘Sabrina’! The Killer Cast of ‘Riverdale’! Archie Comics’ Jon Goldwater Spills All (VIDEO)

It takes a village to raise a phenomenon, and in the case of Riverdale, the mayor of that village is Jon Goldwater.
As CEO of Archie Comics, Goldwater has helped usher the 79-year-old imprint into its current renaissance. That resurgence includes edgier stories in the page of the brand’s growing stable of comic books and, of course, the rise of the CW’s certified hit.
We stole some time with Goldwater during Comic-Con in San Diego to talk about the crazy success of the series, as well as the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the Archie Comics horror title, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
As many know, the coven-ly character of Sabrina Spellman has often popped up in the stories of Archie, Betty and Veronica, but the streaming service take is “its own thing,” he confirms. “Sabrina has always been kind of part of the Archie universe, but in this series, she is strictly in Greendale and it’s strictly her thing.”
So as of now, it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing any crossovers, which is fine. Penelope Blossom is probably all the evil Riverdale can handle right now!
