On Floribama Shore, Nilsa Prowant is not afraid to stand up for herself against any man or woman who she feels shows any disrespect. The Panama City spitfire is taking that mentality into the MTV Fear Factor realm.

Prowant is part of a good old-fashioned “Shoredown” themed episode featuring cast members from Floribama Shore and Jersey Shore. Joining Prowant is Jeremiah Buoni while their opposition includes roommates Aimee Hall and Kirk Medas, and Jersey teams Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Deena Nicole Cortese, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio. They will all compete for bragging rights and $50,000 for their favorite charity. Prowant is playing for Marine Special Operation Command.

“I’m a huge fan of Fear Factor,” Prowant said. “That was one of my favorite shows back when Joe Rogan hosted it. I’m actually afraid of everything, even though I like to come off as a hard ass. I didn’t want to really tell them what I was afraid of. But I’m afraid of frogs, heights, I hate airplanes. The metro in New York, I’m terrified of that. I don’t like tunnels.”

Easing her nerves a bit was having Floribama housemates there for support.

“Jeremiah was my partner. So, having the “Jolly Green Giant” there, I knew I was going to be okay,” Prowant said.

There was shock and a pinch me moment upon finding out the Jersey Shore counterparts were joining them on Fear Factor. Think of it like when the Jetsons met the Flintstones or perhaps the Avengers or Justice League of MTV get this party started reality assembling.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God! Are they going to hate us? Are they going to like us? How is this going to go,’” Prowant said. “I feel we are kind of like cousins in a way because we’re all part of the shore family. So, I was like, ‘We have to get along. They have to like us.’”

The two crews stayed at the same hotel. Prowant recalls everyone being excited as they looked up to the Jersey Shore cast.

“They are the OGs,” she said. “They made reality TV what it is. That was awesome for us to meet them and face them on Fear Factor

As for the challenges, it was chi chi’s up! Prowant was ready for anything.

“Let’s just say all of my fears, I basically experienced,” she said. “Let’s just say the biggest fear I’ve ever had was getting tongued down by Jeremiah. And that happened on Fear Factor. Jeremiah had to use his tongue for strategy during one of the events. Whatever it takes.”

They’ve spent summers together in the @FloribamaShore house, but this week @nillythesquid and @jeremiahbuoni teaming up for #FearFactor! 👏 Do they have what it takes to prove that they’re the ultimate shore?

For Prowant, it was a confidence boost to participate in Fear Factor. Knowing she can overcome anything. A mindset that can come in handy living the drama-filled life on Floribama Shore.

“I honestly didn’t know it was going to happen,” she said upon the news of a season two, which is currently airing. “None of us knew what we were going to be getting ourselves into. But I will tell you Fear Factor and Floribama Shore are a lot alike. I mean come on. You face fears every day you wake up in a house with seven other crazy people.”

Prowant promises fans of the show that you ain’t seen nothing yet.

“Some can’t imagine us going any harder than we already have, but we do,” she said. “…You see more of the cast backgrounds that we didn’t see in season one that I’m excited for. We became more of a family because we were confiding in each other through the experience, which you didn’t really see in season one to what you see today.”

And after surviving Fear Factor and another round of Floribama Shore, would Nilsa do a season three?

“Hell yeah. I’ll pack my bags right now and go,” she responded without hesitation.
