Celebs React to Their Golden Globe Nominations

The 2018 Golden Globes nominations are out and actors, producers, writers and directors alike are thanking the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and celebrating the exciting news!

Check out who’s having a great Monday morning:

Mark Burnett (Executive Producer, The Handmaid’s Tale and Fargo): “We could not be more proud of everyone at MGM Television for a record breaking year of Golden Globe nominations. We are enormously grateful that our ground-breaking shows have been recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press this year,” said Burnett, President, Television Group & Digital, MGM. “Our team continues to work with the best talent in their fields who have created and delivered very unique storytelling.”

Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer: “We are grateful to receive 12 nominations across eight properties in celebration of the breadth of our content – from film to television, comedy to drama, new to returning series,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. “Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the recognition, and congratulations to our visionary artists and storytellers honored today.”

Peter Morgan (Executive Producer, The Crown): “Thrilled thrilled thrilled thrilled!!!!”

Freddie Highmore (Actor, The Good Doctor): “There cannot be more wonderful news to wake up to on a Monday morning than this. Thank you to each and every member of the Hollywood Foreign Press for this amazing honour. I’m proud that an optimistic, hopeful and unabashedly ‘good’ character like Shaun has resonated with so many. And to David, the writers, producers, cast and crew of “The Good Doctor” – thank you all, and I can’t wait to spend the day celebrating with (most of!) you on set today.”

Shawn Levy (Executive Producer, Stranger Things): “While all of us working on STRANGER THINGS were grateful for the success of our first season, we were also vigilantly determined not to rest on that. Alison Brie (Actress, GLOW): “I am so honored and proud to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. GLOW has been such a labor of love and I’m very excited that THE DISASTER ARTIST and THE POST also got recognized this morning.:

Anthony Anderson (Actor, black-ish): “I’m humbled to be recognized by the HFPA but I’m most proud of the work that we all are doing on black-ish and most honored that the team effort is being acknowledged with a ‘best show’ nomination. Thank you all who support and watch our show!”

Geoffrey Rush (Actor, GENIUS): “This is good news for Albert Einstein. I believe in science. I also believe in the complexity of humankind. I am honoured to be in the company of fellow nominees who, with their artistry, have strived to define the multiplicity of dimensions in the male experience.”

Max Mutchnick and David Kohan (Co-Creators and Executive Producers, Will & Grace): “What an incredible honor that the HFPA has recognized ‘Will & Grace’ with a comedy series nomination. We’re grateful we’ve been welcomed back in this way after an 11 year hiatus and given the opportunity to continue writing for these characters.”
