Jen Kirkman, “I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) (Friday, May 22, Netflix)

The Chelsea Lately writer and frequent guest gets to steal some spotlight in this brilliantly sharp standup special that seriously has us wondering why someone hasn’t given her a series of her own. Wickedly funny and unafraid to take on hot-button issues, Kirkman veers through a set that covers 9/11 blame (shame on you, airport security), the indignities of aging, idiot men who can’t order drinks properly, and, in one perfectly delivered piece, her experience with bedding someone way younger than she is used to. “It’s not like I chased him down the hall screaming ‘put on your jammies,'” she confesses before recounting a morning-after that is surely to be remembered. And probably never to be spoken of again! Trust us, despite Kirkman’s clear taste for younger men, this one is not for kids.
