Law & Order SVU

Law & Order, “Perverted Justice” (Wednesday, May 6, 9/8c, NBC)

No other minor Law & Order: SVU character takes on the system quite like defense attorney Bayard Ellis (returning guest star Andre Braugher). He’s got conviction. He’s got panache. He’s got that intense gaze that sees you through your TV screen, judges your moral turpitude, and finds you lacking. Tonight, Ellis represents a prisoner convicted of raping his daughter 17 years ago. The victim, who was just a child at the time, now wants to recant her testimony, therefore setting her father free. Enter retired Captain Cragen (former SVU regular Dan Florek) who remembers the original investigation. Here’s to hoping the next time these guys reunite, it’s due to a happier situation, like a hit-and-run.
