The CW has revealed new casting information for an upcoming DC project that will expand the network's current comic-inspired offerings.

Franz Drameh will appear on the as-yet-untitled show as Jay Jackson, described in press materials as "a former high-school athlete whose pro career was derailed by injury." Jackson, who works as an auto mechanic on the show, will have a "surprising affiliation" with S.T.A.R. Labs, the DC Comics research lab which has served as a primary setting on The Flash and has been featured in multiple Arrow crossovers.

Drameh, a British actor from London, got his start on the BBC series Parents of the Band and has since moved on to a successful film career including appearances in Clint Eastwood's Hereafter alongside Matt Damon, British cult comedy Attack the Block, and last summer's action blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
