Operation Orangutan

Operation Orangutan (Wednesday, April 22, 8/7c, NatGeo WILD)

Look at that face. Just look at it. Poaching, habit destruction and people wanting orangutans as pets—why?—have endangered the species almost unto extinction, leaving myriad li'l 'tans orphaned or injured. Camera crews followed volunteers in Kalimantan, Borneo (the big island just southwest of the Philippines), who built a rehab center to help the little guys out and eventually return them to their wild habitats. Heart: warmed.
