What’s Worth Watching: ‘Gotham’ Gets a New Baddie
Gotham, “Under the Knife,” Monday, April 20, 8/7c
Things get dangerously personal—and lethally suspenseful—in Gotham City when dogged Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) continues to pursue his seductively psychotic prey, the serial-killing lothario known only as “the Ogre” (Milo Ventimiglia), who has a reputation for targeting the loved ones of anyone who has the nerve to investigate him. Where, when and on whom will the Ogre make his next move?
On the more glittery side of town, a Wayne Enterprises charity ball gives young Bruce (David Mazouz) and catty Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) a chance to play dress-up while pursuing an ulterior agenda. But more sinister forces are at work elsewhere, as Oswald/aka/Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Nygma/aka/”Riddle Man” (Cory Michael Smith) individually reach their breaking points. And just when you thought Gotham couldn’t get darker or creepier.
