The first season finale of the CW’s freshman drama Riverdale has already aired, but when the cast showed up on the CW upfront carpet in New York City last week, they all had thoughts of what they’d like to see when the series returns next fall.

In our first video, Cole Sprouse talks about shaping his portrayal of iconic figure Jughead; KJ Apa explains how the shooting of Archie’s father, Fred (Luke Perry), will reveal a darker side to the character; Marisol Nichols (Hermione) discusses playing such a complicated character; and we find out how much about the story Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom) needed to know at the beginning of the season.

In the next video, we’ll find out if we’ll be seeing more of Josie (Ashleigh Murray) in the second season; what Camila Mendes (Veronica) hopes to see when Hiram Lodge shows up; and whether Luke Perry (Fred) is worried about his future on the show since his character was last seen bleeding out after a gunshot.
