Jenny Marrs is thanking her and Dave Marrs‘ fan base for the support they’ve shown former Fixer to Fabulous guests.
Last month, Jenny took to Instagram to ask fans to pray for the Esmeyer family, who received a backyard and kitchen makeover on Season 7 of Fixer to Fabulous as part of their annual 24-hour home renovation marathon with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Jenny shared that the family, whose daughter, Teal, is a St. Jude patient, had received a “devastating medical update.”
In an October 24 Instagram post, Jenny shared screenshots from Bo Eymeyer, revealing that Teal’s brain tumors had progressed, and that his wife, Dru, would need to undergo surgery for tumors of her own. Jenny and Dave launched a fundraiser to help the family, with donations counted as entries to win various prizes, including a Fixer to Fabulous set visit.
For her latest Instagram update, Jenny shared a heartfelt thank you to her and Dave’s fans. “I can’t get over the generosity I’ve witnessed over this past week and a half or so. When we decided to create a fundraiser to bless Teal and her family, we thought we’d offer up a prize – an incentive – to get more donations,” she wrote on Thursday, November 5. “And when I reached out to the winner, she didn’t even know about the prize. She had simply given to this family with no expectation of a reward. Just a gift. (But, she’s very excited to hang with us next week:))!”

Jenny said she couldn’t believe fans surpassed the fundraiser’s original $10,000 goal and raised over $58,000 for the Esmeyers. “I just can’t get over it,” she gushed. “You guys showed up and gifted this family with the opportunity to breathe a little easier as they take time away from work to be together as Teal quite literally fights for her life.”
While the fundraiser was a success, Jenny asked her followers to “keep praying for miracles to unfold for this family,” adding, “And, don’t ever think that one prayer, one gift, or one person can’t make a difference. It always starts with one.”
Fans celebrated Jenny’s positive update in the post’s comments. “This is so AMAZING!!” one user wrote. Another said, “God bless you for initiating this wonderful act of kindness! It’s a privilege to contribute. Holding Teal and her family close in my prayers and heart.”
Someone else shared, “God bless this family and you and your family for bringing them hope.” A different person posted, “So happy to participate and be able to help this family in a small way. You all have such BIG hearts and it’s contagious to those around you! Thank you!”
