Who Is Devyn Simone? All About the MTV Alum Joining ‘RHONY’
Season 16 of The Real Housewives of New York City began with the addition of three new cast members and the return of Carole Radziwill. Now, about halfway through the season, another newbie is joining the fold as a “friend of”: Devyn Simone.
Devyn is no stranger to reality TV and has a history on MTV, but in recent years, she’s pivoted to focus on her television career outside of that realm. She’s ready to take Bravo by storm, and ahead of her debut episode on October 27, we gathered everything to know about the RHONY newbie.
What does Devyn Simone do for a living?
Devyn is a matchmaker, dating expert, and television host. Per her website bio, her “skillful guidance has helped countless people find and create happy sustainable relationships.” She is the resident relationship expert for Tinder. Devyn “has personally interviewed over 2,000 singles as well as hundreds of happy couples to gain a deeper understanding of what unique challenges all of us face when we are dating in the age of technology and our new post-pandemic normal.”
She combined her love of hosting and matchmaking in 2015 by hosting TLC’s dating show Love at First Swipe. From 2017 to 2022, she was a guest host on The Wendy Williams Show, popping in to give pop culture updates on the talk show.
Some of Devyn’s other hosting contributions have been on Access Hollywood, E!’s Daily Pop, and the fourth hour of the Today show.
When was Devyn Simone on MTV?
Devyn made her MTV debut on The Real World: Brooklyn in 2009. She then appeared on two seasons of The Challenge in 2012 and 2014.
Her first season, Battle of the Seasons, she made it to the Final with her Real World castmates Sarah Rice, Chet Cannon, and JD Ordoñez. They finished in third place behind winners from The Real World: San Diego and runners-up from The Real World: Las Vegas.
On Free Agents, Devyn played up the underdog card and used her social game to avoid seeing an elimination throughout the entire season. She made the Final again and came in third place behind female winner Laurel Stucky and female runner-up Nany Gonzalez.
Despite not appearing on the show after Free Agents, Devyn stayed in The Challenge-verse. She has hosted several reunion shows, after shows, and even the official Challenge podcast at one point.
Who is Devyn Simone married to?
Since June 2023, Devyn has been married to Adam Lock. The couple met on a dating app in 2017, but timing did not allow the relationship to progress at that point. It wasn’t until three years later that they reconnected and soon became “inseparable.”

Adam is from Australia and currently works as a vice president of creative lead for Fanatics. He’s held the position since 2023, per LinkedIn. Prior to that, Adam was an executive creative director at Havas. He’s also worked ad Adweek and VaynerMedia.
Devyn and Adam do not have any children.
Did Devyn Simone date Big Easy after The Challenge?
Devyn and Eric “Big Easy” Banks formed an unexpected romantic connection on The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons. After filming ended, Devyn immediately flew to visit Eric in Kentucky.
However, the romance did not last, and the two broke up shortly after filming ended. By the time the reunion filmed, they were no longer together.
