HGTV’s Scott McGillivray Gushes Over Wife Sabrina in Sweet Birthday Tribute

Scott McGillivray took a pause from working on his multiple HGTV projects to give a special shout-out to his wife, Sabrina.

The couple have been married since 2008 and have two daughters, Myah and Layla. On Sunday, October 18, McGillivray took to Instagram to share a special birthday tribute to Sabrina.

“Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife Sabrina!” he wrote alongside photos of the couple and their kids. “Today, we celebrate an incredible woman who makes life better just by being herself. You are an amazing wife, an incredible mom, and the heart of our family. You give so much of yourself to the people you love, and today is all about celebrating YOU and the beautiful person you are.”

He continued, “You deserve all the happiness, love, and blessings in the world not just today, but every day. I hope you know how deeply you’re loved and how much you mean to us.” The upload included snaps from Sabrina’s birthday celebrations, which included opening presents at home and enjoying a sweet birthday treat at a restaurant.

Fans sent their own birthday well-wishes to Sabrina in the post’s comments. “Sabrina is definitely your better half! And we are all lucky to have her in our lives. Happy birthday to you @sabrimcgill,” wrote McGillivray’s Vacation House Rules co-star Debra Salmoni.

Sabrina thanked her husband for his heartfelt post in the comments, writing, “Thank you @scott_mcgillivray love u. Xo.”

McGillivray celebrated his wife’s special day while working on multiple TV projects, including a new season of his old HGTV series Income Property. The show, which originally ran from 2008 to 2016, followed McGillivray as he helped clients turn neglected areas in their homes into rentable spaces.

“Income Property is coming back! It’s official and casting is closing Nov 1st,” McGillivray announced in a Tuesday, October 20, Instagram video. “Show me your income suite that needs a renovation. IncomePropertyCasting.ca. Let’s do this.”

Earlier this month, it was announced that McGillivray will team up with Mina Starsiak Hawk on Season 8 of Rock the Block, which will premiere on HGTV next year. He competed on the show’s most recent season earlier this year alongside celebrity partner Brooke Hogan.

In addition to Ty Pennington returning as the show’s host, Rock the Block Season 8 will also feature teams Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, Paige Davis and Carter Oosterhouse, and Sabrina Soto and Anthony Carrino.
