What To Know

  • After much speculation, Meredith Marks confirmed she is wearing a wig on Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
  • Marks previously revealed that she got a facelift before filming, prompting Whitney Rose to theorize that she was wearing a wig amid her recovery.
  • Marks said she has not told her costars the reason she’s wearing the wig, but hinted that it was not because she needed to cover her facelift surgery scars.

Meredith Marks‘ hair has become a topic of discussion amid Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which premiered on September 16. In Episode 2, Marks confirmed to her costars that she’d gotten a facelift, which prompted Whitney Rose to make the first comment about her hair.

“When I saw Meredith at Angie’s house, I could tell something was different,” Rose commented in her confessional. “I just couldn’t tell if it was her face or her hair, but I love that Meredith is telling us that she got a facelift and is wearing a wig. Like, that’s badass.”

A producer then pointed out that Marks never mentioned anything about a wig, prompting Rose to respond, “Oh, OK.”

Now, several months after this was filmed, Marks has addressed the wig situation on Threads. A fan commented, “Do we know why Meredith is wearing a wig? They keep going in on a situation she may not have chosen. This might be body-shaming.”

Marks replied, “Let me be clear. I have no visible scars to hide. My doctor is excellent. And no, they do not know why I am wearing a wig. I did not share that information.” She offered no further details about her hair.

The OG RHOSLC star first opened up to her castmates about her facelift during a ski day. When she didn’t hit the slopes, she had to explain, “Doctor’s orders. I had a facelift, like, a month ago.”

She confirmed to Bravo Insider that she had the procedure done between filming of Seasons 6 and 7 of the Bravo series. “I’m happy. I love it,” she gushed. “Maybe fans will be more surprised that I’m honest about it. That’s probably the bigger surprise.”

Marks continued, “I feel good about it and I’m proud of it. I’m not trying to keep it a secret. I think it’s empowering to take control over what you want in life.”
