The October 8 episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test got extremely emotional for Alexia Umansky, who is participating in the show alongside her father, Mauricio Umansky. Alexia got called in by the Directing Staff (DS) for tactical questioning and shared a personal story from her past for the very first time.

“Seven years ago, I was on a trip with some friends, and I was with people I trusted,” Alexia revealed through tears. “I was put to bed because I had a little too much to drink, and I woke up, and I could tell something had happened. I didn’t even have the power or consciousness to say no.”

While Alexia didn’t specify exactly what happened to her, she continued, “I felt completely objectified, and I had a lot of pain and anger for that. At the one-year mark, I decided that happiness is a choice and I was going to choose to put it away. But it still hurts.”

In a confessional, she further explained that she was “taken advantage of” in the situation and revealed that she had never even told her family, including Mauricio and her mom, Kyle Richards. “When you bring other people into it, it just becomes more of a conversation,” she pointed out. “And maybe a conversation is what I needed, but I just wasn’t ready. I was not ready for that.”

After opening up to the DS, Alexia went back to the rest of the group and explained what she went through during questioning. It was then that she told Mauricio about the vacation incident for the first time.

“I have something I went through that was definitely the hardest thing I ever went through,” Alexia admitted. “It’s hard to talk about because you don’t know. I was taken advantage of by a friend and it’s not anything I ever wanted you to know. I kind of wanted to protect you guys from [that].”

Mauricio seemed unsure how to process the information he was being told. “I don’t know why you feel like you would need to protect us from that,” he assured his daughter. She replied, “Once you bring it to other people, it’s not just yours. It becomes everyone else’s concern. But I’ve definitely healed. I’ve come a long way since then.”
Alexia and Mauricio are two of eleven recruits left hoping to complete the course.
