General Hospital is welcoming another new face to Port Charles. Wil Traval has been cast as Jude, a stranger who will arrive in town in October.

Jude marks the third Australian connection to hit the canvas in the past few months. On July 13, Dean Geyer joined the ABC sudser as Tristan Roberts, a new doctor at General Hospital, followed by Troy Lennon Appel as Hudson Parker on July 30.

Hudson, who works for Jasper Jax Enterprises, was sent to Port Charles from Australia to inform Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that her father, Jasper Jax, had appointed her CEO of the company. Though initially resistant to taking over, Josslyn ultimately agreed as part of a secret undercover assignment for the World Security Bureau (WSB). Hudson has also been providing updates to a mysterious person. Could that person turn out to be Jude? Time will tell.

A native of Victoria, Australia, Traval has been working professionally for more than 20 years. While he hasn’t appeared on a daytime drama, he had a recurring role in Season 3 of The CW reboot of Dynasty. Traval played Father Caleb Collins, whose faith was put to the test when he gave in to his romantic feelings for Cristal Carrington (Daniella Alonso).

Traval has an extensive list of U.S. primetime credits, including Netflix’s Jessica Jones, where he worked opposite Krysten Ritter, and ABC’s Red Widow, where he shared scenes with Radha Mitchell, Goran Visnjic, and Clifton Collins Jr.. He has also appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, Arrow, Chicago P.D., Grimm and Once Upon a Time.

In Australia, Traval is best known for portraying Dr. Jack Quade on the long-running medical drama All Saints and Detective Peter Church in the acclaimed police drama White Collar Blue.

The actor joins a host of other newcomers in Port Charles, including Alimi Ballard (William Baines), Jonathan Bennett (Joe Fitzpatrick), Kearran Giovanni (Dr. Nichols), Kelly Kruger (Serena Baldwin), Kayden Brennan Tokarski (Scout Cain) and Blythe Howard, who was recently announced as Monet.

GH keeps bringing on all these new characters, but they’re not completing storylines and just letting them linger. Like Willow getting away with murder and then drugging Drew and Nina getting away with throwing him in the lake while he was in his wheelchair. Not that I care for Drew very much and he needs to get his due as well. But bringing on new characters and not completing other storylines and starting new storylines, it’s like these writers are like brand spanking new and don’t know what to do with the storyline to wrap it up so they’re just starting new ones. I really wish GH would go back to their old format where they followed through on a storyline before creating all these new ones. I also wish that they would quit screwing with certain characters and changing their personality to a total 360 which they would never do. Like Chase, for instance, it’s like he follows Willow around like a little lost puppy. He wouldn’t do that with his character and the way he was he wouldn’t do that to Brooklyn. Yeah she made a mistake and didn’t come forward and tell him or anyone else that she was the other driver, but everybody needs to remember that Jordan and Curtis were responsible for that accident and Brooklyn never saw an accident happen. GH is really making a mountain out of a molehill here and that is just so aggravating for the fans. Now Chase has moved out because his wife lied to him. What about Chase, having to be Willow’s hero and possibly being in love with her still

The writers of GH have killed the show. Ridiculous storylines, ruining cast members personalities and getting rid of people that we love and bringing a new bunch of people to do what? Get new writers, that’s what I say. They don’t know what the hell they’re doing and it’s very obvious to those of us that have followed GH over the years. They are losing their fan base over it.

Why do all the new guys from Aussie look so much alike... I know for a fact the country has this wide ethnic variety.... It's boring and hard to remember which is which lol this is from a middle aged white woman, so not a race thing just like more individuality and to be able to tell them apart from behind

It’s Frank Valentini who’s in charge with writers following his orders. I suppose he’s following orders from his bosses maybe Disney now perhaps they’re truly trying to ruin GH! If that’s true they have a one track mind bringing in more new people and all are villains! Why not have decent people not just villains? Whose hair braided idea is that? If they truly want to end the best soap on tv that ever existed then just go ahead and end it without making a complete joke out of it. The way they are doing it now is pathetic just making look ridiculous these dumb storylines are plain ignorant. Nobody believes anything they are spewing out. We watched GH to enjoy it not hate the characters. Now we just despise majority of them. They’re all villains who only want revenge. What happened to the soapy soap that revolved around the hospital and love interests? None of that anymore it’s all just revenge revenge who can take one another down first. We may as well watch murder mystery theater!! Give us back our great GH! The way it used to be. Get rid Frank Valenentini and his writers if they can’t do any better!!
