‘General Hospital’ Alum Tajh Bellow to Step In as Theo Carver on ‘Days of our Lives’

Tajh Bellow will make a one-day appearance on Days of our Lives on Tuesday, October 6, playing Theo Carver, TV Insider can report exclusively.

Tyler Joseph Andrews, who made his debut on the Peacock soap in September 2025 as Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) son, was unavailable to shoot on a day last December, so Bellow stepped in.

Bellow is best known to soap fans for playing TJ Ashford on General Hospital. He joined the ABC drama in 2018 but hasn’t been seen in Port Charles since December 2024. It had been an emotional year for his character leading up to his last episode. TJ and his partner, Molly Lansing (Kristen Vaganos), lost their daughter following a devastating accident involving Molly’s sister, Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi), who had served as their surrogate. In the aftermath, Molly and TJ grew apart and split. Molly is now involved with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), while TJ was most recently referenced after his mother, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), was injured in a car accident in April.

In February 2025, Bellow took to Instagram to address his on-screen absence from GH and reflect on the intense material he had been given to play.

“WHAT A YEAR WE HAD!!!!” he posted. “Playing Dr. TJ Ashford has been a groundbreaking experience for my career. Pouring into TJ as he poured into me has been illuminating in many regards.” Bellow addressed the heavy story of the prior year, adding, “Grieving such immense loss took everything in me, and I’m blessed that my work resonated with you all. I know a lot of my fans are wondering what’s next for TJ, but before I speak to that, I wanted to celebrate all that we accomplished together. I’m excited for this year’s EMMY AWARDS!”

Bellow hadn’t posted again on social media since that February message until yesterday, when he shared news about his latest project. He will be seen in the upcoming series The Compatibility Experiment, opposite Loren Lott, who played Ana Hamilton on The Young and the Restless from 2018-2019, and returned briefly in 2024.

The vertical drama, which premieres October 14 exclusively on TikTok and the PineDrama platform, is described as a satirical spoof of reality dating shows. It follows Kelvin (Bellow) and Camila (Lott), whose relationship is put to the test when they join a reality show to try to win a $1,000,000 cash prize. JaNa Craig, who appeared in Love Island USA Season 6, will play the host.

“Let’s get this money y’all!!” posted Bellow.

But first comes his Days episode, where Bellow will share scenes with Cherie Jimenez (Gabi Hernandez). A spokesperson tells TV Insider that Bellow stepped seamlessly into the role, and the cast and crew were grateful for his professionalism and commitment, albeit for only one episode.
