Will ‘The Librarians: The Next Chapter’ Return for Season 3?
With The Librarians franchise following a team going on magical adventures, and given that it’s now lasted through multiple movies and two series, it feels like the possibilities are endless. So, as The Librarians: The Next Chapter reaches the end of its second season (the finale airs on September 7), we’re sure you’re wondering about its future.
This season has seen the Librarians — Vikram (Callum McGowan), Lysa (Olivia Morris), and Connor (Bluey Robinson) — and their Guardian Charlie (Jessica Green) deal with Merlin (Dominic Monaghan) being awakened and whether or not he can be trusted. Some think he can’t; others, like Elaine (Caroline Loncq), who knows him from their days in Camelot, refuse to entertain the possibility.
“When he appears, he is presenting himself as a man who wants to redeem himself from the sins of his past. There are those in our team who believe him, and there are those who do not, and over the course of the season, he begins to show which one of those he really is,” creator Dean Devlin told us ahead of the premiere.

Is The Librarians: The Next Chapter renewed for Season 3?
Not yet. But Devlin is keen on making one. “Listen, if somebody says they want one, I’ll make it because I love making this show,” he told us recently.
When will The Librarians: The Next Chapter Season 3 premiere?
It’s too soon to speculate, given that the series has yet to be renewed.
Who’s in The Librarians: The Next Chapter cast?
The Librarians: The Next Chapter stars Callum McGowan, Olivia Morris, Bluey Robinson, Jessica Green, and Caroline Loncq. Dominic Monaghan recurred in Season 2 as Merlin. Christian Kane and Lindy Booth reprised their roles as Jacob Stone and Cassandra Cillian, respectively, from the original Librarians series in Season 2. We’ll have to wait to see if everyone returns and if more OGs appear in the future.
“We won’t see [any others] this season, but get us a third season, and everybody has told me they want to come back,” Devlin said before the premiere. “So, with that kind of energy, it would be great if we had another season and I could bring more characters back.”

What is The Librarians: The Next Chapter about?
The Next Chapter centers on Vikram, a time-traveling Librarian from the past who becomes stranded in the present. He finds that his castle in Serbia has become a museum and, upon unleashing magic across the continent, teams up with Lysa, Connor, and Charlie to recover powerful supernatural artifacts and restore order.

It's a fun show. Nice to hang out in a world where the mayhem is magical and can be reigned in by the Librarians, a relief from the "real" world where the mayhem is neither magical nor reigned in.

I was not too impressed with the first season. But I find that the actors have found their footing this second session. The acting has improved and the chemistry between the characters has improved vastly. I hope they get a third season to see where the show can go.

I really hope they do a season 3 if the librarian I really enjoy the show instead of all those reality shows I can't stand them

I still can't figure out why Charlie calls Vikram 'sir.' This isn't a great show, but it's entertaining enough.

The first episode of season two I kind of got annoyed at the main character, but then the other episodes were great and I really want a season three

I really wanted to like this show but there is little I do like. Both this and the Leverage sequels all suffer from the same issues.

That's what the show's about, keeping magic in check. I liked the original libraries and I do hope they come back with a third season of the next chapter.
