Paramount+ has revealed the premiere date for Yellowjackets Season 4, the final season, alongside the first teaser. The Yellowjackets soccer team is making it out of the woods. After the Season 3 finale teased a long-awaited rescue, the fourth and final season of Yellowjackets is poised to reveal what happened when the teen girls got back to reality.
Yellowjackets Season 4 premieres on Friday, November 20, exclusively on Paramount+ with the Premium Plan. “As the survivors race to bury their sins before rescue arrives and an old flame roars back into town with plans of her own,” the season description says, “turns out not every homecoming is a joyous one, and this one’s going to sting.”
The Yellowjackets final season teaser focuses on an old TV screen that plays breaking news alerts about the discovery of the living survivors of the titular soccer team’s plane crash in the 1990s. News footage from their return, seen in previous seasons, and clips from their soccer games play amid recurring static and scenes from the wilderness and present-day timelines. Young Natalie’s (Sophie Thatcher) screams from on top of the mountain at the end of Season 3 can be heard at the end.
“Can anyone hear me?!” she yelled into a repaired satellite phone.

Created by showrunners/executive producers Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is “the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness,” says Paramount+. “Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya, Jenna Burgess, and Hilary Swank star in the final season.
Yellowjackets Season 3 killed off several major stars in the past and present-day timelines: adult Van (Lauren Ambrose) and Lottie (Simone Kessell) in the present-day, and Coach Steve (Steven Krueger) and Mari (Alexa Barajas) in the past. According to the cast list, they won’t be returning for the final season, but perhaps they’ll make surprise appearances via flashbacks or some kind of spooky apparition, as the show is known to create.

Ella Purnell — who played Jackie, the first person the Yellowjackets ate in the wilderness — returned in a surprise appearance in Season 3, so anything’s possible. Adult Natalie (Juliette Lewis) died in the Season 2 finale. Here’s to hoping she may make one final appearance in the final season.
Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer along with Jonathan Lisco, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa, and Julia Bicknell. The series is produced for Showtime by Lionsgate Television.
