‘Big Brother 28’ Week 5: Who From The Toolshed Alliance Went Home?

Week five of Big Brother Season 28 tore apart the majority alliance. After a major blindside eviction during week four, which eliminated Lyric Medeiros over Melody Morris, winning the Head of Household competition has become more important than ever.

This week saw the return of the iconic Wall Comp, which took out Angela Murray in a matter of seconds. As last week’s Head of Household, Haley Thogmartin looked on, the wall appeared to be anyone’s game. Taking place on a ’60s-themed campground, for some of these houseguests, a shot at winning the Wall seemed less believable than the existence of Bigfoot, who made multiple appearances while the houseguests held on for dear life.

HOH: LaTrice Verrett pulled out the Wall Comp win over Kamu Kirk, becoming the fifth Head of Household of the season. Lala made history as the oldest winner of the Wall Comp in Big Brother history at 58 years old. While LaTrice voted with the majority of the house to evict Lyric during the last eviction, Dee Valladares, Angela, and the rest of their majority alliance were unclear on whether they were safe during her week.

Why 'Big Brother's Lyric Medeiros Wasn't Shocked by Eviction

Nominees: This week, LaTrice nominated Barrett Pfeiffer, Haley, and Chuk Anyanwu. After Kamu turned on Haley and Chuk, his former Red Corner alliance members, revealing that Chuk said he would put up Lala if he won, she decided to put the biggest threats to her game straight on the block, instead of backdooring someone later in the week. Right now, Haley is her target. As she put it, “Game on, y’all.”

Timecapsule: Mallory Aurichio won the fourth Timecapsule vote. Unfortunately, she received the Adam and Eve punishment, forcing her and a houseguest of her choice to wear only leafy undergarments and be attached by a fig leaf vine for 48 hours. She chose to share her punishment with her BB bestie, Melody Morris.

Previously, Angela received the egg detective punishment, Rick Devens won the Diamond Power of Veto, and Dee Valladares won the BB Bribe. Click here to find out how to vote.

POV: Kamu won the Veto after correctly stepping on light-up squares to make a pattern. Haley and Chuk expected him to use it on one of them since he is their closest ally. However, Kamu chose not to use it and leave the nominations the same, showing the other side of the house that he is turning over a new leaf. Either Barrett, Haley, or Chuk will be evicted.

Angela told Haley that she was in on the vote flip last week, which led to a huge argument among the Red Corner alliance. Someone from the Toolshed will go home. So, the remaining Houseguests have to choose who they want to leave.

Blockbuster: Haley won the Blockbuster. She had to get five balls in the grassy area and then be the first to knock them all down. This left Chuk and Barrett on the block. All three nominees were members of the Toolshed Alliance, with Angela, Rick, Dee, Kamu Kirk, and Drew Campbell.

Evicted Houseguest: Chuk was evicted by a vote of nine to one. Only Haley voted to keep him.
