Rosie O’Donnell Says Trump is ‘Very Physically Ill’ & ‘Everyone Around Him Knows’

Rosie O’Donnell has a damning outlook on the health of her long-time rival, Donald Trump, saying the president “doesn’t look like he’s long for this Earth.”

The former View cohost made the comments during the latest episode of the On With Kara Swisher podcast, where the pair discussed Trump’s dwindling approval ratings.

“Trump’s popularity is in the toilet right now, largely due to the war in Iran, his handling of the economy,” Swisher said, per The Huffington Post. “People are tired of his act, I think.”

O’Donnell agreed that those issues are hurting Trump’s popularity, but also shared another factor affecting his approval ratings. “And the fact that he’s falling asleep, that he’s very physically ill, that he doesn’t look like he’s long for this Earth, that he shouldn’t be the man in control of the nuclear code,” she stated. “Like, these are things that everyone around him knows.”

Concerns about Trump’s health have risen in recent months after the president appeared to fall asleep during cabinet meetings. He has also faced scrutiny over his bruised hands and swollen ankles.

However, Trump continues to insist that he’s perfectly healthy. In May, he underwent preventive medical and dental checkups at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Afterward, he wrote on social media, “Everything checked out PERFECTLY.”

He also bragged about his cognitive test results, writing, “Unlike other U.S. Presidents, none of whom have ever taken an approved, high difficulty, Cognitive Test, I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered ‘extreme intelligence.'”

A spokesperson for the White House also said, “President Trump is the sharpest and most accessible president in American history who is working nonstop to solve problems and deliver on his promises, and he remains in excellent health.”

The feud between O’Donnell and Trump has been going on for years. Last year, the Emmy-winning talk show host told the Irish network RTÉ’s The Late Late Show that the president has “had it out” for her for 20 years after she “told the truth about him on a program called The View.”

Speaking of The View, O’Donnell, who cohosted for two brief stints in 2006-2007 and 2014-2015, will be returning as a guest on the ABC daytime program for its 30th season, which kicks off in late September.

“I will go on the 30th anniversary next [season], and be on in whatever way they want me,” O’Donnell said on The Tangle podcast. She also noted that, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think, for the 30th season.”
