As Roast My Rental debuts on HGTV, Jasmine Roth is reintroducing herself to fans old and new.
Roth stars alongside Leslie Jones on the new HGTV series, which premieres on Friday, July 24. The show follows Jones as she tours some of the country’s worst short-term rentals, providing hilarious commentary on the homes’ unique quirks and features. Roth and her team of designers will give the properties a much-needed makeover in hopes of attracting new visitors.
Roth took to Instagram on Thursday, July 23, to share some day-in-the-life footage from filming, as well as share some recent life updates with fans. “Let’s catch up, because a lot has happened these past few months,” she began the clip. “I’m Jasmine. I’m a custom home builder and interior designer, and I’ve been doing this for over a decade. I’ve renovated and designed close to 200 homes, and I still can’t believe this is my actual job. I’m 41, I’m pregnant with my third daughter, and these past four months, I’ve been filming a brand-new HGTV show with comedian Leslie Jones. We’re flipping some of the worst short-term rentals in just 72 hours.”
The Help! I Wrecked My House host noted that 2026 marks her “ninth year with an HGTV show,” and that filming Roast My Rental was “exactly as chaotic and hilarious as you’re imagining.” The video featured footage from one of her first days working on the show, during which she began renovating “an old cabin that needed a lot of love.”

Roth continued, “My family and I moved to Park City, Utah, a couple years ago, and this show was filmed in Southern California, which means there were a lot of plane flights, suitcases, and FaceTimes with the family during this job. Being a working mom isn’t easy, and there are days I doubt my decision to be out of the house. But seeing firsthand the difference my work makes really brings it full circle.” (Jasmine shares two daughters, Hazel and Darla, with her husband, Brett Roth.)
“I’m on a mission to build my happiness one little moment at a time, and I’m taking you with me on this journey,” Jasmine concluded. “I believe we’re all in this together, and I love sharing every single day. Follow along to see what’s next.”
Fans shared their support for Jasmine, as well as their excitement for Roast My Rental, in the post’s comments. “So hard-working! You’re doing great. Praying for all!” one person wrote. Another added, “Love any show you do! I love how real you are! Can’t wait for the new show!”
Someone else shared, “Can’tttttttt wait to watch the new show!!!!!!!!!” A different person posted, “Such a fan Jasmine! So appreciate all that you share. Cannot wait to catch the new show tomorrow night.” A separate commenter stated, “Im so proud of you. Love your shows. You are to be admired. Congrats on the new baby. Look after yourself.”
Jones gushed about working with Jasmine on the new series in an exclusive interview with TV Insider. “She is so sweet. Like you know how you watch a show and go, ‘That person can’t be that cute and sweet.’ She is exactly how you see,” the Saturday Night Live alum stated. “She is so nice and very talented. Like she sees spaces where I may go, ‘There is no way you’re going to fix this.’ She will go, ‘No, you can take this and move this.’ She is more looking in the space and not what is inside the space. I love her. It’s great. We have great chemistry.”

I like Jasmine and am sorry she's reduced to this over-the-top half-hour where Leslie Jones tries way too hard. I feel as bad for her as I do for Jonathan Knight in "Crashers" where he has to scout clients. This seems a comedown for them both, but this and "Ugly Houses" seems to be what's selling.
