HGTV’s Jasmine Roth Recalls Daughter’s Wild Birth Story Ahead of Baby No. 3

Before welcoming her third child, Jasmine Roth reflected on her second child’s wild birth story.
The HGTV star shares her two daughters, Hazel and Darla, with her husband, Brett Roth. Back in May, Jasmine announced that the couple was expecting baby No. 3, which they later revealed is a baby girl.
Before publicly sharing her pregnancy news, Jasmine filmed HGTV’s new series Roast My Rental while pregnant. The series follows host Leslie Jones as she provides hilarious commentary while touring some of the country’s wackiest short-term rentals. Roth and her team give the homes a much-needed makeover to help them become must-stay vacation destinations.
As her pregnancy nears its end, Roth reflected on the last time she gave birth in a Tuesday, September 15, Instagram post. “Two years ago I delivered our second baby in record time – here’s how fast everything went,” she wrote on the upload’s first slide.
Jasmine noted that she and her family had recently moved from California to Utah and thought they had a month before Darla’s arrival. The day before Darla’s birth, Jasmine visited the ER and was told there was “no mention of her being born early.”

The morning of Darla’s birthday, the couple and Hazel checked into the Airbnb they were staying in to celebrate Jasmine and Brett’s wedding anniversary. “At 4:30 we went for a swim in the pool. At 36 weeks the bump was bumpin!” she shared. “It felt great to float.”
Jasmine and Brett went to their anniversary dinner that evening. “At 7:47pm, during our FaceTime, I felt something I hadn’t felt before. It hurt, BAD. At 8:00pm I went to the bathroom, having no idea I was in active labor,” she stated. “I walked back into the restaurant and told Brett to get the car and that we had to go to the hospital.”
Jasmine FaceTimed Hazel on the way to the hospital. The couple, however, ran into trouble en route, as their path to the hospital “was shut down.” The duo decided to call 9-1-1 for help. “[At] 9:12 the paramedics found us on the side of the road and loaded me into an ambulance,” Jasmine said. “Brett followed the ambulance in our truck as we rushed to the hospital.”
Less than an hour later, Darla was born. At 9:40pm I gave birth to the tiniest baby I’ve ever seen. 4lbs 8oz,” Jasmine wrote. “It was a completely surreal and very unmedicated birth.” The post’s last slide featured a sweet photo of the first time Jasmine held her baby girl.
In the post’s caption, Jasmine joked that she doesn’t want a “repeat” of the experience for her third child.
