‘Summer House’: Mia Calabrese Defends West Wilson’s Ex Meija Following Aftermath Special

The dust has settled on Season 10 of Summer House following the post-reunion aftermath special, but even the extra conversations between Lindsay Hubbard/Amanda Batula, West Wilson/Kyle Cooke, and Ciara Miller/Meija Moreno have left fans with some questions.

One of the most jaw-dropping moment of the aftermath episode was when Meija, who believed she was in an “exclusive” relationship with West when he and Amanda went public with their romance, confirmed she’d still been talking with her ex. She told Ciara their conversations were strictly happening over the phone “because of her” (referring to Amanda). Even after the episode aired, Lindsay claimed Meija and West were still in contact.

“From my understand, [Meija and West] were together for a long time,” fellow Summer House star (and Ciara’s bestie) Mia Calabrese tells TV Insider. “It’s difficult to detangle a long relationship and just cut things off cold turkey. I personally wouldn’t continue to talk to someone like West just because of everything we’ve recently found out about him, but everyone experiences life differently and everyone has their own threshold of what they can handle.”

Mia, who’s partnered with Walgreens to share her summer 2026 must-haves, had a front row seat to all of the drama that’s unfolded amid the Summer House cast members. And while Ciara, West’s ex and Amanda’s former bestie, is currently living her best life in Fiji as the host of the Love Island after show, Mia admits the situation is probably still weighing on her.

“I don’t want to speak for Ciara but I think this will always be something that is going to hurt her,” she explains. “She really, really cared about Amanda and loved Amanda. Her friendship was betrayed in a way that’s so hurtful and so inappropriate. I think this will always be something that lives on Ciara’s heart.”

And despite getting “a little more clarity” from West and Amanda during the aftermath episode, Mia adds, “I think the most important thing at this point, it’s not so much hearing their side and I don’t even really care about the timelines anymore. That just doesn’t make a difference to me. It’s more just like … you betrayed my best friend and that’s what matters to me. I don’t care how it happens at this point. I don’t care about the timeline of it all. I just care that you hurt someone I care deeply for.”

Looking past the drama, Mia is looking forward to summer and her Walgreens partnership. “I’ve been a fan of Walgreens since I was a kid,” she confirms. “The Walgreens that was near my house was maybe four blocks away and it was one of those places we were always going to. It was close to the house. We all knew Walgreens would have everything – anything we needed. Whether it was … we’re going to summer camp and we need to get bug spray or sunscreen and all the little travel minis. Or if we needed the pharmacy.”
