Jenny and Dave Marrs‘s kids celebrated the end of the school year in a fun, yet messy, way.

“That’s a wrap on 10th, 8th, 6th and 1st grades! We are SO READY for summer!!!!” Jenny announced via Instagram on Friday, May 22. She and Dave share five kids: twin sons Nathan and Ben, daughters Sylvie and Charlotte, and son Luke.

Jenny’s post featured photos of each of her kids standing in front of a chalkboard sign that read, “Last day of school. First day of summer. The kids also sported T-shirts featuring the year of their high school graduations. Nathan and Ben wore “Class of 2028 shirts,” while Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke’s shirts read “Class of 2030,” “Class of 2032,” and “Class of 2037,” respectively.

The post also featured footage of the family’s annual tradition of commemorating the end of the school year with a “shaving cream fight.” However, Jenny got emotional over Nathan and Ben choosing not to partake in this year’s festivities.

“Also, I’m not overly emotional that the big kids didn’t want to participate in our annual end-of-the-year shaving cream fight tradition,” she quipped in the post’s caption. “No, no. I’m fine. Really, everything is fine.”

Fans gushed over the Fixer to Fabulous stars’ fun family tradition in the post’s comments. “Love your tradition of the chalkboard and cream fights! So much fun!!” one person wrote. Another added, “I hope it’s a great summer! I’m sure you will be busy!!”

Someone else shared, “Yesterday was my last day of school, too! 30 years in the classroom, and I’m committed to at least one more….I promised my 10th graders wouldn’t leave them before prom, but next year will be my last prom!” A different person posted, “So awesome. I’m an educator and our last day was this week.”

A separate commenter stated, “Dying. Six weeks of school left to go here.” Another user stated, “It’s really hard when they get so big they don’t want to do some of the family traditions. It can hurt a mama’s heart.” Someone else suggested, “It looks fun! They should toss water balloons to help clean up. Yay for summer!!”

Jenny and Dave’s start-of-summer activity comes after a slew of recent family celebrations. Following a chill Mother’s Day at home on their Arkansas farm, the couple took to Instagram to celebrate Charlotte’s 12th birthday on May 16.

“There has never been and will never be again another who shines as brightly as you do, Char. You exude love, generosity, joy, laughter, and kindness,” Jenny wrote in a sweet birthday tribute. “I’ll forever thank God for giving me the honor of being your mom and will always count May 16, 2014, as one of the very best days of my life. The first words I whispered to you on that day ring ever true: You are the greatest, most surprisingly wonderful gift I’ve ever been given. I hope you always know how deeply you are loved, my girl.”

She added, “Happiest of birthdays, Char-Char! I love you to the moon and back times a billion trillion zillion!”

In his own Instagram birthday post for Charlotte, Dave wrote, “Happy 12th birthday to my baby girl. Love you Charlotte Marrs! You are such a strong, loving, thoughtful young woman.”
