What To Know

  • In an exclusive sneak peek of the Season 1 finale of Memory of a Killer, Angelo confronts Nicky about her involvement with Agent Grant.
  • The finale, titled “Exposed,” promises a dramatic confrontation as Angelo’s personal and criminal worlds collide.

Cards are on the table in the Memory of a Killer Season 1 finale on Monday, April 6, and TV Insider has an exclusive first look at Angelo (Patrick Dempsey) confronting Nicky (Michaela McManus) about what she’s been doing for the Ferryman (Gina Torres‘ Agent Grant).

In our sneak peek, which you can watch above, Nicky’s at the bus station when Angelo calls. “Maria [Odeya Rush] was supposed to die tonight, and you knew that,” he says, referring to Grant sending Earl (Ian Matthews) to kill his daughter. Grant wants revenge for Angelo killing her son as part of a hit; Parks turned out to be innocent, but he hadn’t known that. The agent had blackmailed Nicky into doing her bidding by getting close to Angelo after the other woman killed her abusive husband in self-defense.

Nicky tries to explain herself to Angelo, but he knows that it was Grant, pressing her until she confirms that’s the case. Nicky wants to explain, and Angelo will give her the opportunity to at his apartment the next day. “I have a plan to take down Grant. You’re going to help me. You owe me that much. Are you coming or not?” he says. Watch the full sneak peek above for more.

In the Season 1 finale, titled “Exposed,” Fox teases, “Angelo’s worlds collide, setting up a confrontation with The Ferryman.”

When it comes to Nicky, “I think at first it was his business, but once the intimacy is there, I think you can’t help but feel something. So it’s a battle within how much you allow yourself to surrender into that relationship where he’s desperate to have someone that he can communicate with,” Dempsey told us after Episode 7. “He’s losing that one person, which was his brother, and now he wasn’t really fully honest with him. We discover in Episode 5 that he was withholding. So there’s no one he can really talk to. So he is really this man who is so isolated and desperate to have someone to talk to. He’s learned how to just be his own man, but I think at the same time, now more than ever, wants someone that he can go to and get the support emotionally that he needs. So, that’s really conflicting for him with Nicky.”
