  • Kotb, who left Today in January 2024, has continued to make special appearances on the show and remains involved in major NBC events.
  • The 99th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature performances from Cynthia Erivo, Lainey Wilson, the Radio City Rockettes, and more.

Shortly after her latest Today appearance, Hoda Kotb returned to 30 Rockefeller Plaza for another special occasion.

Kotb reunited with her former Today colleagues Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker for a table read of the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 20. “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade read-thru with your hosts! ❤️,” NBC’s official Instagram page captioned photos from the read-through, which took place in Saturday Night Live‘s famous Studio 8H. “Only one week to go until #MacysParade Nov 27 | NBC and @Peacock.”

Kotb, Guthrie, and Roker were all smiles as they posed for a photo holding their scripts and laughed together as they ran through the parade’s schedule. Fans were just as happy to see the trio back together as they looked.

“HODA!!!!! Omg this makes me so happy!” one person commented underneath the post, while another added, “Makes me so happy seeing @hodakotb still very much involved!!!!!!!!!”

Someone else shared, “It’s so good to see this dynamic trio every Thanksgiving morning! Welcome back @hodakotb!” A different user wrote, “Who knew the hosts had to practice commentating for the parade. I just thought they winged it. 😂.” Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, also left two heart-eye emojis under the post.

Kotb has cohosted the annual holiday parade with Guthrie and Roker since 2018, the same year she took over as Guthrie’s Today coanchor following Matt Lauer‘s sexual misconduct scandal.

After 17 years on Today, Kotb exited the NBC morning show on January 10. When announcing her departure back in September 2024, Kotb explained that turning 60 and wanting to spend more time with her daughters — Haley, 8, and Hope, 6 — inspired her to start a new chapter.

Since leaving Today, Kotb has released her latest book, Jump and Find Joy, and launched her own wellness company, Joy 101. She has also made a handful of Today appearances for special interviews and segments, most recently on the show’s Thursday episode, where she aired her conversation with Jay Leno about his role as his wife Mavis’ caretaker amid her dementia diagnosis.

This year’s parade — which airs on Thursday, November 27 — will kick off with a special performance from Wicked: For Good star Cynthia Erivo. Other confirmed performers include Lainey Wilson, Matteo Bocelli, Ciara, Gavin DeGraw, Meg Donnelly, Jewel, Kool & the Gang, Taylor Momsen, and KPop Demon Hunters stars EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, among others.

The Radio City Rockettes and the Broadway companies of Buena Vista Social Club, Just in Time, and Ragtime will also perform show-stopping numbers in front of Macy’s flagship store on 34th Street in New York City. This year’s parade will feature five new balloons and seven new floats.
