Suzanne CollinsHunger Games prequel books have told the origin stories of President Snow and Haymitch Abernathy. If she plans to write a third novel and make it a prequel trilogy, who should be the subject? If you ask Sam Claflin, it should be Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta.

Claflin’s performance as Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay films remains a fan-favorite. The actor opened up about his hopes for a Finnick and Annie spinoff story when he came to the Swooon and TV Insider office to discuss his new series, Harlan Coben’s Lazarus. In the video above, he explained why he feels Finnick and Annie’s story should be told on the page and onscreen as the third installment of the prequel franchise (Sunrise on the Reaping‘s film adaptation is set to hit theaters on November 20, 2026).
