‘Bridgerton’ Star Yerin Ha Reveals How Spark With Luke Thompson Led to Her Casting

Bridgerton‘s fourth season is steadily approaching as Netflix continues to tease fans with little breadcrumbs surrounding the love story of the second-eldest son, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), and his Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
Unlike Season 3’s leading couple, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), both of whom have starred in the show since Season 1, this latest chapter returns to form by introducing a new character as a leading love interest. But finding Sophie at Thompson’s Benedict had to capture the magic fans feel when reading Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman, which builds on themes often found in a Cinderella story.
Luckily, that magic was felt when Thompson and the team for Netflix’s Shondaland hit encountered Ha. The star who has featured in TV shows such as Dune: Prophecy, Halo, and The Survivors, will step into Sophie’s silver shoes for the Season 4 masquerade and find herself in a maid’s uniform when her fantasy night out in the Ton comes to a close.
