Brandon Blackstock, who finalized his divorce from singer Kelly Clarkson in 2022, was surrounded by loved ones when he died on August 7. Among them was a girlfriend, who was unknown to the public until the release of his obituary a few days later.

The obituary also didn’t mention his ex-wife, though it did name the two kids he shares with Clarkson. “He was a devoted father,” says the obituary of the 48-year-old talent manager, who died of complications from melanoma. “His four children were and will always be his greatest love and his greatest legacy.”
