It’s here! The first official trailer for Disney+‘s next Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is set to arrive Wednesday, May 25.

Reprising his role as the iconic and titular Jedi Master, Ewan McGregor takes on a more mature appearance as the fan-favorite character in this first look. In the opening moments of the nearly two-minute-long tease, a premise is set as Obi-Wan laments, “The fight is done, we lost.”

Of course, he refers to the Jedi as he observes a young Luke at play on Tatooine. “Stay hidden,” he advises. What follows is a game of cat and mouse as Obi-Wan and his fellow Jedi evade capture.

“The key to hunting Jedi is patience,” Rupert Friend‘s Grand Inquisitor states. “Their compassion leaves a trail,” he adds, hinting at the serious nature of this dangerous game ahead. Along with following Obi-Wan and the Grand Inquisitor, viewers are introduced to more new characters including those played by Joel Edgerton and Moses Ingram.

Set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, during which Obi-Wan faced his greatest defeat in Anakin’s (Hayden Christensen) downfall and corruption to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi sees how the Jedi Master is coping and surviving.

The teaser also hinted at their reunion as Vader’s signature breathing is heard over the title credits. Joining McGregor, Christensen, Edgerton, Friend, and Ingram in the series are costars Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow who executive produces alongside McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, and Joby Harold. See the full trailer, below, and stay tuned for more sneak peeks at the series as Obi-Wan Kenobi approaches its premiere.
