The Rookie is welcoming a couple of new series rookies with Kat Foster and Felix Solis as they step into two embedded episodes of the current fourth season.

The two episodes, which have yet to be unveiled will play a crucial role as they set the stage for a potential untitled spinoff next season, allowing The Rookie franchise to expand beyond its current Lost Angeles Police Department confines. Foster, whose credits include Gaslit, CSI: Vegas, Accommodations, First One In, and Barry will join the universe as Special Agent Casey Fox.

Special Agent Fox has been on the job for five years and she has succeeded by being whip-smart and a team player. A rule-follower through and through, Fox knows how to work the system to get the best assignments. As a training Agent, she is determined to instill conformity in her trainees as she believes the key to surviving and thriving is fitting in and getting ahead.

Foster’s Special Agent Fox will be joined by Solis’ Special Agent Matthew Garza who is a twenty-year veteran of the FBI. He’s a true believer in the “Agency way” and has been his whole career. While Fox is early in her career, Garza is gearing up for his next chapter as the senior agent is on the cusp of being promoted to a leadership role.

Solis’ Garza is described as tough, smart, and filled with a little too much self-importance. The actor’s previous credits include Netflix‘s Ozark in which he played Omar Navarro and Charmed in which he portrayed Ray Vera.
