Paul Bazely

British character actor Paul Bazely underwent a bit of typecasting early in his career; he was often cast as a doctor in episodes of various television comedies and dramas, from the thriller "Waking the Dead" to the comedy "Green Wing." His casting as Biju in Mira Nair's 2004 big screen adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel "Vanity Fair" raised his profile, and in 2007, he landed his largest television role yet on the long-running comedy-drama "Benidorm." His character Troy is the tightly-wound husband of brash, snippy hairdresser Gavin Ramsbottom (Hugh Sachs).

Bazely has also guest starred on the cult favorite workplace sitcom "The IT Crowd" and the British television institution "Doctor Who."
