Luciane Buchanan is a New Zealand actress best known for her lead role as Rose Larkin in the Netflix action-thriller series "The Night Agent," where she plays the niece of two high-level government officials drawn into a deadly conspiracy.
Born in Auckland to Tongan and Scottish parents, Buchanan first gained attention on New Zealand television, particularly for her role as Kennedy Truebridge in the series "Filthy Rich." She also played Tripitaka (Tang Sanzang) in the fantasy-adventure series "The New Legends of Monkey," a modern retelling of the classic Chinese tale "Journey to the West," which earned her international recognition.
More recently, Buchanan appeared as Kupu in the Apple TV+ historical drama "Chief of War." Her career includes various film and TV credits in both New Zealand and abroad, and she is celebrated for bringing strong, dynamic female characters to the screen.
